Exterior Shots "Before"

Taken in Late September right after escrow closed. The rotted pergola (not original to the house) on the front porch has since been demo'ed. The glassed in porch on the front of the house is an alteration done in the early 1950s, but I like it, so it's staying. It's a great room for all of my plants.

Also, most of the bushes have been cut down.

More to come soon...

Well, it's official...

This is my first post, which should have been done a month and a half ago, but as most of you know (especially if you are a homeowner) there are not very moments to sit down for free time (especially if you don't have internet service).

The past two months have been a whirlwind of excitement. I've had to deal with my real estate agent, several contractors, the crazy former owner of the house, a cat lady neighbor, and various miscreants that hang out in my neighborhood.

Oh, but the house. The house. It's beautiful. It's 100 years old next year, and all of the craziness that has gone on in the last three months seems totally worth it to be able to call something so beautiful my own.

Keep reading. I hope to post here at least once or twice a week on various things going on with the house. Up next, photos! (If I can find my digital camera!)
